Abstract

The Advertising Boom coincides with the improvement of the graphic production procedures on cardboard, tinplate and even ceramics. The exhibition presented by the “Museu de Disseny de Barcelona” takes a tour through the advertising of products advertised in sideboard, counters, on walls or anywhere else between the 1890 and 1950. More than 250 pieces of works of graphic artists presented allow to observe the strategies of the formal and textual contents used by the advertising during that time.
