Comunicación política y retórica
Abstract
The política! discourse is basically argumentative; that is, a dis course whose main objective is to act on the attitudes of othr people in such a way that they conform to those ofits author. That' s why, it deploys severa! strategies. Among these, persuasive definitions occupy center stage. They consist in defining a certain term in such a way that it expresses a subject position which is either fovourable or disfovourable towards the defined object. In this paper, we intend to analyse the argumentative function of definition in fosé Ortega y Gasset's Discursos políticos. Keywords
