The University colours

Abstract

Overcoming the communicative implications of each color, the use of colors in university robes, an element already loaded with meaning, which makes it a message that is not always decoded or used. This text shows the specific regulations that exist on the use of university togas, their origin (Egyptian and Roman) and the due communication protocol that this implies in universities. Its origin, eminently linked to the minds of people (Egyptian), becomes a sign of status (Rome), to be a sign of identification and belonging to the group but also of visualization and perceptual identification today. However, modern communication makes this code an element with a perceptual and commercial load that relegates the most symbolic element to a display element.
