Abstract
Theses pages develop hypotheses about the role of adverti sing, in particular of radio advertising, for the transmission of values on contemporary society. I think advertising can also help to the cons truction of a society in which knowledge and values are the "motor" of the new living together ways and social participation. On the study the commercials presented at the San Sebastian Advertising Festival 2001 (31st of May to 3rd of ]une) have been studied, which ones reflect, to a certain extent, values that are used in Spanish contempo rary society.Keywords
